Ladies and Gentlemen,

   Good morning! I am very welcome everybody to attend this new book launch of “ Collection of Architectural Stones of Shandong (Hungarian-language edition) ”. Han Dynasty pictorial carvings were carved on the wall of tombs and ancestral halls as the decorative painting during the Han Dynasty ( between 220-200 BC ). Han Dynasty pictorial carvings include many aspects like fairy tales、local customs. From the discovery place of Han Dynasty pictorial carvings, Shandong province has the maximum and the most complete Han Dynasty pictorial carvings.  

   I will show a video to everyone about making rubbings of Han Dynasty pictorial carvings soon, this video was shot by one of my friend Ms. Qing Han who is the professor of Shandong University of Art &Design, the video recorded the whole processes about making rubbings of Han Dynasty pictorial carvings. 

   Firstly, it should be making sure that the cover of pictorial carving stone is clean. Secondly, putting the Chinese art paper on the stone, and spraying a little bit water on it. After that, cleaning the paper with a brush, tapping the paper gently so that the stone and paper can stick together perfectly. Then, using a special tool with ink to pat the paper gently. Finally, rubbing with the color of black and white are done.
